I am a Georgia native who has become a Texas transplant.
I was born in Valdosta, Georgia where I was raised. I received my undergraduate training from Xavier University of Louisiana and stayed in New Orleans for medical school training at Tulane Medical School. I completed my OB/Gyn training at University of Texas Houston and has been in private practice since graduation.
I am currently board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) and a certified practicing Menopause Specialist by the North American Menopause Society. I have completed my education in Clinical Herbalism from one of the leaders of Western Herbalism Dr. T. LowDog and I am a member of the American Herbalist Guild. I am actively pursuing the designation of a Registered Herbalist. I have also received education in Ayurvedic principles of care through the Institute of Integrative Ayurveda Medical Education which is associated with the Maharishi Ayurveda Association of America. I am also a member of the International Maharishi AyurVeda Foundation for Health Professionals. I also am a member of the Association for the Advancement of Restorative Medicine. To round out my integrative training I also have completed trainings via the Institute of Functional Medicine and I am also a registered yoga teacher (RYS-200).
I am an advocate for holistic and integrative women's health and also actively participate in clinical research. I am always on a mission to spread my message of holistic and integrative women's health which I do through my online school Holistic School of Harmony and Health and am also currently in development of a practice building academy for medical students, residents, physicians and nurse practitioners which I hope to turn into a nonprofit.
Last but definitely not least I am a wife and a mother of two beautiful daughters and I enjoy cooking, massages, and road trips in my free time.
